The Latest Pixel 11 Leaks and Rumored Upgrades
We last checked in with Google’s upcoming Pixel 11 a month ago. Regular visitors to this site may recall our deep dive into the latest news and rumors, and if you’ll pardon a little self-aggrandisement, it’s still a remarkably good article. Informative, well-written, and…okay, we’ll stop now.
However, the smartphone world can’t sit still for an instant. In the short space of time since we published our findings, there have been more leaks about the Google Pixel 11. August isn’t that far away, and the reports are coming in fast.
But as always, your friendly neighborhood Ghostek team has been on the case. Come gather round the proverbial campfire for the latest news on the Pixel 11 series. Our dedicated team of phone nerds and internet detectives have returned from another adventure and has rumours to share.

The Latest Google Pixel 11 Color Scheme News
Our first piece of breaking news might appear rather low-key, but it hints at something larger. The ever-vigilant (and mostly reliable) Mystic Leaks revealed a set of wallpapers for the standard model, the Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL, and the Pixel 11 Pro Fold. There is a common theme of waves and shallow water, shown from an aerial view and in several different colors. These being:
Pixel 11
-
Black
-
Green
-
Pink
-
Purple
Pixel 11 Pro/Pro XL:
-
Beige
-
Black
-
Gray-green
-
Silver
Pixel 11 Pro Fold:
-
Black & white
-
Black & green
We’ll be the first to admit that a wallpaper leak isn’t the most exciting story, but there is a caveat. The four options listed for the standard model are the exact same colors that the Pixel 11 is reported to be available in.
This strongly suggests that Google is planning to sync the color schemes across the Pixel 11 series. Therefore, we can extrapolate that the other Pixel 11 phones will have a similar treatment. Google have been rather tight-lipped when it comes to the colors, but if this assumption is accurate, these new phones will have a more subdued finish than their equivalents in the Pixel 10 collection.
In the Ghostek office, the black/green wallpaper for the Pro Fold was the team favorite, and we’d love it if we could get a physical model with that same shade.
Pixel Glow Rumors
Aside from the colors, you might have also seen the words ‘Pixel Glow’ floating around whenever people talk about the Google Pixel 11. But what exactly is it?
At the time of writing, we don’t know for certain. We looked at it once before, specifically in our article about the Pixel 11 Pro XL, but if you missed it, here’s a short summary:
-
Demis Hassabis made a keynote speech at I/O ‘26
-
He showed a video of himself using a phone with a glowing camera bar
-
Everyone (including us) jumped to the conclusion that he’d accidentally shown Pixel Glow
Now that the dust has settled, it seems we may have been mistaken. The journalist Ben Schoon pointed out that not only was that entire video sequence made with AI, but it also prominently featured a disco ball. In that context, the glowing camera bar could easily be a nice visual flourish to match the theme, rather than an accidental reveal. The fact that it wasn’t genuine footage only adds credence to this idea.
So…if that wasn’t it, what exactly is Pixel Glow? If you’ll forgive us for mumbling through mouthfuls of humble pie, we don’t know. It is heavily rumored to be a series of soft light notifications on the back of the phone, but actual specifics are hard to come by.
Any New Reports About the Pixel 11 Camera?
Yes, yes…hello photographers, we know how much you love these stories. In our previous roundup of Pixel 11 news, we predicted that the camera setup for the standard model would include:
-
48MP main camera
-
13MP ultrawide camera
-
10.8MP 5x telephoto camera
-
10.5MP selfie camera
Pretty tasty, no? As enticing as that system is, it appears we may have slightly undersold it. The latest leaks suggest that Google found two spare megapixels and squeezed them into the main camera. That’s right, a 50MP camera lens!
This would bring the Pixel 11 series in line with their rivals. The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra came with a 50MP ultra-wide camera, so Google will understandably want to keep pace with them.
Pixel 11 Tech Specs, Price, and Design
The hardware/software specs and rumored design haven’t changed much since our previous report. We thought that the Pixel 11 would come with 12GB RAM, but it now seems as though Google are including an 8GB model too. If so, we’re likely to see some variance in the pricing, but a rough estimate puts the figures at:
-
Pixel 11: $799
-
Pixel 11 Pro: $999
-
Pixel 11 Pro XL: $1,199
-
Pixel 11 Pro Fold: $1,799
The eagle-eyed among you might have spotted a slight reduction for the standard version. We earlier predicted a cost of $859 for the base Pixel 11 with 256GB storage, but the RAM dropping to 8GB means it’ll almost certainly be cheaper.
One rumor that hasn’t changed but is worth repeating involves the Tensor G6 chip. Droid Life have broken down the full specs, but for the sake of keeping things simple, it should make the Pixel 11 into a high-performance phone. It’s also rumored to include the Titan M3 security chip, which offers sophisticated data encryption and helps keep digital transactions safe.
And just to round things off, there’s the design. We’re not expecting any major alterations and can confidently say it’ll look very similar to the Pixel 10. It’ll be equipped with a 6.3inch OLED display screen with a 1080 × 2424 resolution and quick refresh rate, which yes, is the same as the last one. But hey, we liked the Pixel 10, and there’s no real reason to change it at this point.
When is the Pixel 11 Going to be Released?
Based on the release schedules for previous generations, we can expect the Google Pixel 11 series to go on sale in late August. And rest assured, we’ll be keeping a close eye on things, if only so we can find out precisely what Pixel Glow is.
Until that question is finally answered though, why not personalize your phone? We have an eye-catching collection of cases and accessories for the Google Pixel series available online. Take a look and see if anything catches your eye.
